Welcome to Olympic Peninsula - Continued

Reaching the Olympic Peninsula is not difficult. If traveling north from Oregon, California, or Mexico on I-5 exit at Hwy 101 to get to Olympia or exit at Tacoma and get on Hwy 16 and head towards Gig Harbor and Bremerton.

If you wish to start your visit to the Olympic Peninsula from Seattle then take a Washington State Ferry across Puget Sound to either Bainbridge Island or Bremerton (there is also a ferry from Edmunds, which is north of Seattle, to Kingston).

From Seattle you can also drive south on I-5 to Tacoma, get on SR 16 and head towards Gig Harbor and Bremerton.

If you are in Victoria, BC, then board the Coho ferry in Victoria's Inner Harbor and enjoy the 1 1/2 hour ride across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Port Angeles.

Another option is to take the Washington State Ferry from Keystone on Whidbey Island to Port Townsend.
